【摘要】:Thisclassificationsystemcoverspolybutyleneplasticsmaterialssuitableformoldingandextrusion.Thisclassificationsystemallowsfortheuseofthosepolybutyleneplasticmaterialsthatcanberecycled,reconstituted,andreground,providedthefollowingconditionsaremet:Therequirementsasstatedinthisclassificationsystemandotherguidelinepertainingtothesematerialsaremet,andThematerialhasnotbeenmodifiedinanywaytoalteritsconformancetowatercontactregulationsorothersimilarrequirements.Theproportionsofrecycled,reconstituted,andregrindmaterialused,aswellasthenatureandtheamountofanycontaminant,cannotbepracticallycoveredinthisclassificationsystem.Itistheresponsibilityofthesupplierandbuyerofrecycled,reconstituted,andregrindmaterialstoensurecompliance.Thepropertiesincludedinthisclassificationsystemarethoserequiredtocharacterizeandclassifythespecificproduct.Otherpropertiesmaybenecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecializedapplications.ThesemaybespecifiedbyusingsuffixesasgiveninSection5.Propertiesshallbeselectedinsuchamannerthatconsistencyofdifferentlotsorshipmentsisassured.Thetestsinvolvedinthisclassificationsystemareintendedtoprovideinformationforidentifyingmaterialsinaccordancewithtypesandcategories.Itisnotthefunctionofthisclassificationsystemtoprovidespecificengineeringdatafordesignpurposes.Thisclassificationsystemandsubsequentlinecallout(specification)areintendedtoprovideameansofcallingoutplasticmaterialsusedinthefabricationofenditemsorparts.Itisnotintendedfortheselectionofmaterials.Materialselectionshouldbemadebythosehavingexpertiseintheplasticfieldaftercarefulconsiderationofthedesignandtheperformancerequiredofthepart,theenvironmenttowhichitwillbeexposed,thefabricationprocesstobeemployed,thecostsinvolved,andtheinherentpropertiesofthematerialotherthanthosecoveredbythisstandard.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note1-ISO8986Parts1and2resemblethisstandardintitle,buttheircontentissignificantlydifferent.Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section11,ofthisclassificationsystem:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
